Gold Medal Flour in Minneapolis, MN
The famous Gold Medal Flour sign in Minneapolis, MN

I took this photo with my trusty Polaroid NPC 195 pack film camera on near 15 year expired film stock during a visit to Minneapolis in 2019 for TypeCon. The camera was gifted to me maybe two or three weeks prior, and I was still getting acquainted with it, but it was during this afternoon walk around the city — in particular along Boundary Road and the Mill Museum, where I felt like I had begun to master it’s manual controls and the conditions needed to capture good images.

The camera is a fun one to shoot with because it inevitably leads to conversations with people curious about it or how instant photography is still around and relevant. We can thank Doc for helping keep it alive.
